Blending Care with Culture: International Nurses Day & Rabindra Jayanti Celebration at ICHFN
The Institute of Child Health and Family Nursing (ICHFN) witnessed a day of joy, inspiration, and artistic expression as students and teachers came together to celebrate International Nurses Day and Rabindra Jayanti. The event was a perfect fusion of compassion and culture — honoring the spirit of nursing alongside the timeless legacy of Rabindranath Tagore.
The celebration began with a warm tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, whose life continues to inspire generations of caregivers. Students presented heartfelt performances, speeches, and poems reflecting the values of empathy, service, and dedication that define the nursing profession.

The mood then turned to one of cultural reverence as the campus embraced the beauty of Rabindra Jayanti. Through songs, dance recitals, and dramatic renditions of Tagore’s works, students celebrated his artistic genius and his vision of humanity, harmony, and inner strength. The performances brought together tradition and creativity, showcasing the immense talent and passion of ICHFN students.
Teachers shared words of encouragement, appreciating the students’ dedication — both in their academics and in preserving the cultural heritage of Bengal. The day concluded with smiles, applause, and a renewed sense of pride, capturing the essence of what ICHFN stands for — knowledge, compassion, and culture.
