Pride and Achievement: ICHFN Students Excel at Breastfeeding CME 2025
It was a proud day for the Institute of Child Health and Family Nursing (ICHFN) as the B.Sc. Nursing 6th semester students secured the 2nd position in the Poster Making Competition organized by the West Bengal Academy of Pediatrics.
The event, held on August 7th at the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI), was part of a Breastfeeding CME (Continuing Medical Education) session that focused on the vital theme, “Breastfeeding for Anemia Mother.” The competition aimed to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding, especially for mothers dealing with anemia, and to encourage innovative approaches to health education.
Students from across the state participated, showcasing their creativity, research, and understanding of maternal and child health. The ICHFN team impressed the judges with their thoughtful presentation, clear communication, and visually impactful poster design that reflected both compassion and medical accuracy.

In addition to the winners, GNM 3rd year and B.Sc. Nursing 6th-semester students from ICHFN also attended the CME session, gaining valuable exposure to current medical practices, expert discussions, and advancements in maternal health care.
The achievement reflects ICHFN’s dedication to academic excellence, practical learning, and community health awareness. The institute continues to encourage students to engage in platforms that foster innovation, leadership, and advocacy in nursing education.
We congratulate our talented students for bringing this honour to ICHFN and for their inspiring commitment to healthcare education and patient well-being.
