The Institute of Child Health and Family Nursing (ICHFN) recently hosted a vibrant Nutrition Demonstration Programme at ICHFN, where B.Sc. Nursing 2nd semester and GNM 1st-year students actively participated under the guidance of their dedicated faculty members. The event was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in promoting balanced nutrition and healthy dietary habits.

During the session, students showcased their understanding of nutrition science through practical demonstrations and creative presentations. They prepared well-balanced diet charts, explained nutrient values, and discussed the importance of healthy eating in preventing lifestyle diseases. The programme also highlighted the significance of nutrition education in nursing — empowering future healthcare professionals to guide patients and communities toward better health.

Teachers provided insightful feedback and encouragement, appreciating the students’ enthusiasm and clarity of concept. The event not only strengthened their academic foundation but also enhanced their communication and community engagement skills — essential qualities for every nurse.
The Nutrition Demonstration Programme truly reflected ICHFN’s commitment to holistic nursing education, where knowledge meets compassion and practice leads to empowerment.
